In today's post-industrial society, the information economy plays one of the dominant roles. This branch of science is based on the balanced use of information and communication technology and management.
Information Economy employs the specialists in applied informatics in economics. These are specialist who master following skills : providing optimal functioning of organizations associated with the economic, administrative and management activities; creation of applied and information processes models; information systems design; information systems certification and verification.
During their studies, students of "Applied Informatics in Economics" acquire knowledge in the field of finance, banking and accounting. This training allows them to develop, predict and simulate business processes and analyze the activities of a company. In addition, the scope of graduates’ activities include the development and implementation of information systems in enterprises.
Master degree
After obtaining their Bachelor degree, students can continue their studies with the “Applied Mathematics and Informatics” Master degree program.
Participation in real projects
TUSUR University allows students to take part in Project Based Group Learning (PBGL). Students at "Applied Informatics in Economics" participate in following development works:
Business processes simulation. Students perform analysis of business processes of actual enterprises; simulate those processes with software; conduct marketing research.
Import automation of trade results for public and corporate bonds. Students develop an automated system aimed to reduce the processing time of trade information for public and corporate bonds. The results may help increase performance and decision making efficiency.
Process-based approach in business management. This approach is aimed to simplify the activities in control and planning for the management of enterprises. All the results are implemented in real business and followed by efficiency analysis.
