On the 6th of June 2012, Ritsumeikan University (Kyoto, Japan) and Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics signed the Agreement of Cooperation aiming to enhance interaction between the two institutions in the areas of education, research and cultural exchange.
The College of Information Science and Engineering of Ritsumeikan University and TUSUR have been cooperating within the framework of Inter-University Technology Dialogue and beyond. Willing to take that cooperation one step further, the parties agreed to proceed with a number of other activities such as faculty members and students exchange, as well as to create research groups for developing joint research projects of mutual interest.
At the signing ceremony held in Kyoto, high representatives of both universities expressed hope for the cooperation to turn out fruitful and mutually rewarding.
In September 2012 a delegation from Ritsumeikan University is going to visit TUSUR and to take part in Innovations in Information and Communication Science and Technology — Second Postgraduate Consortium International Workshop.
Established in 1869, Ritsumeikan today is one of the leading private educational institutions in Japan consisting of two universities, three senior high schools and three junior high schools offering a wide range of courses in advanced studies.
