As part of his visit, Dr. Thanh delivered a lecture on “Development of radioelectronics in Vietnam”, where he told TUSUR students about the history of radioelectronics in Vietnam, the modern challenges the Vietnamese scientific and academic community faces today and the state policy of Vietnam designed to enhance international competitiveness of Vietnamese education and research.
Dr. Thanh also talked about the importance of cooperation between Russia and Vietnam.
– Many Vietnamese researchers and public figures graduated from Russian universities. These people are very important for us because they drive the development of the economy of the Republic of Vietnam, he said.
TUSUR has been cooperating with the Vietnamese scientific community for over 10 years. Last year it entered into an agreement establishing a Russian-Vietnamese learning and research center which will be focusing on polarization radar research.
Moreover, Dr. Thanh expressed his interest in the upcoming RoboFootball 2018 championship and recommended a university team from Vietnam, the robofootball champion of Asia, as a potential participant.
