By the start of July, the pre-university course of TUSUR University received applications from sixteen countries.
Compared to the previous academic year, the geography of the course has expanded more than two and a half times: in the 2018–2019 academic year, the pre-university course was taken by students from Algeria, Syria, Cameroon, Cote-d’Ivoire, Morocco, Mongolia, and Senegal. Early in July, graduates were awarded Certificates of Completion that confirm the level of their Russian language proficiency. Many of them have applied to Bachelor, Master, and Postgraduate programs at TUSUR, while several of the students have been awarded scholarships of the Russian government and will be enrolled to TUSUR as state-funded students.
Algerian students Khelifati Idir and Mahout Lyes Kaci were the first pre-university course graduates to file their applications, choosing Bachelor programs in Information Systems and Technologies (Faculty of Computer Systems) and Electronics and Nanoelectronics (Faculty of Control Systems).
Applications to the pre-university course are open till September 1, 2019. The course syllabus includes Russian language, mathematics, physics, informatics, and social science. Upon completion of the course, students take several exams, including a Russian language test.
