About fifty representatives of Taiwanese education, science and business took part in the Tomsk Forum. Guests from Taiwan were impressed by the innovative potential of TUSUR and acknowledged the high level of TUSUR achievements in the field of R&D commercialization and training of entrepreneurs and personnel for science-intensive companies.
Projects of «3DBIN», «Elion», «Promyshlennaya Elektronika» (Industrial Electronics), «Magnit», Design Office «Radar», «EleSy» and other companies operating under the aegis of the Student Business Incubator demonstrated success of businesses created by TUSUR alumni.
The joint scientific meeting revealed mutual interest of both parties to each other’s research results. Presentations made by professor N. G. Rempe and associate professor M. I. Kuryachiy brought about a heated discussion.
Sergey Musatov, master student of TUSUR, underwent a two-month internship at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Taiwan with two other representatives of TUSUR. He delivered a speech at the round table dedicated to the student exchange programs. According to the Taiwanese delegates, our master students proved to be well-educated and active young specialists, capable of working for international companies.
As a result of the Forum TUSUR and its partners agreed to intensify exchange of students, postgraduate students and researchers of TUSUR and Taiwanese organizations within the joint academic mobility programs. Another idea is to create a special centre at the Student Business Incubator to promote Russian R&D results in Taiwan and vice versa and to develop joint research projects.
