In 2011 Huawei, one of the largest telecommunication companies in China, launched its Seeds for the Future program, an educational initiative open for engineering student from all over the world.
In 2017, one faculty member and three students of the TUSUR Faculty of Security and Faculty of Innovation Technologies have been selected to participate in the program.
The goal of Seeds for the Future is to introduce international students and professionals to the culture of China and its latest achievements in information and communication technologies. The program lasts two weeks and is designed to facilitate professional networking both for students and university faculty.
The first part of the internship program offers an in-depth into the culture of China – the interns study the Chinese language and learn about its history and culture in Beijing. Then the interns move to Shenzhen where they stay at the Huawei campus and attend lectures on mobile internet and cloud technologies and have practical classes with the equipment and devices manufactured by the company.
TUSUR first participated in the Seeds for the Future program in 2016, when two students of the Department of Complex Information Security of Computer Systems were awarded the internship at Huawei among 10 best Russian students.
