TUSUR University has welcomed a group of students majoring in Biomedical Engineering from its partner Belarusian National Technical University.
September 2022 marked a new start in the relations between Tomsk region and Belarus following an official visit to Minsk and Grodno by a delegation of Tomsk businesses and universities at the invitation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Belarus.
The Belarusian students will spend a week in Tomsk, during which time they will get acquainted with the university infrastructure and learn about some of the cutting-edge research projects of the Big University Tomsk. After a welcome city tour, they have already met with the Rector of TUSUR University, visited the Robotics Laboratory and learned about academic opportunities offered by the TUSUR Advanced Academic School. In the coming days, they will visit museums and sightseeing locations of Tomsk, and have a chance to learn about research and business projects with a focus on biomedical technology, and to network with students of TUSUR.
This visit opens a new destination in the geography of academic mobility opportunities available to students of TUSUR University and its partner universities, and represents the first step in a new project for a joint program in bioengineering to be co-created by TUSUR and Belarusian National Technical University. A reciprocal visit by TUSUR students and faculty to BNTU is planned for Spring 2023.
