Tomsk Region has been ranked third among Russian regions by level of academic performance demonstrated by state-funded students enrolled in 2017, as reported by TASS agency.
«Moscow and Moscow Region hold the highest positing in the ranking, where first years students enrolled in 2017 have shown an average Unified State Exam grade of 77. The region is followed by Saint Petersburg (USE grade 76) and Tomsk Region (USE grade 74)», reports the news agency.
According to Deputy PM Olga Golodets, as of today, a total of 4.4 million students study at Russian universities, and 920,000 students were enrolled in 2017 to Bachelor and Master programs. The number of universities where state-funded students have an USE average grade over 70 has grown to 152. The ranking included 400 Russian universities.
During the 2017 enrollment campaign the universities of Tomsk enrolled a total of 5494 state-funded students. The state-funded enrollment at TUSUR University was at 688.
