At the invitation of the Ministry of Education of Côte d’Ivoire, a delegation of TUSUR University has visited the country to participate in a major education expo and discuss academic cooperation.
Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics joined the work of the Abidjan Education Expo as the sole representative of the Russian higher education. The expo featured the largest companies of Côte d’Ivoire and more than 150 universities from all over the world. TUSUR has presented its educational offer for international students.
In addition to its presentations at the Expo, TUSUR delegation has met with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso Vladimir Baikov, Vice Minister of National Education Assoumou Kabran, and faculty and students of Felix Houphouet-Boigny National Polytechnic Institute.
The meetings and the new agreements made during those meetings will help TUSUR target its enrollment campaigns in Côte d’Ivoire and promote the University’s cooperation with one of the leading universities in Sub-Saharan Africa and with specialized agencies in Côte d’Ivoire.
Expert of TUSUR Division of International Cooperation Maria Afanasyeva says that today, about a dozen of students taking degree and Russian language programs at the University come from Côte d’Ivoire. A total of 36 countries are represented in the student population at TUSUR.
