Moscow International University Ranking «Three University Missions» is the first internationally recognized Russian university ranking. The ranking was founded by the Russian Union of Rectors; the Association of Rating Makers (ARM) was chosen as its operator. ARM members include leading rating and research centers (Expert RA, VCIOM, Reputatsiya, etc.). The initiative has been supported by the leading universities in Russia, China, India, Iran, Turkey, and Japan, as well as by Clarivate Analytics, providing data and metrics from InCites and Global Institutional Profiles Project (GIPP). The innovation of the MosIUR is that it assesses higher education institutions according to the three traditional missions of universities: education, scientific research, and the relation between the university and the local community.
The first edition of the MosIUR was published in December 2017. The 2019 edition is the third overall, presenting results of evaluation of over 1,700 international universities.
