Russian universities and representatives of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education have participated in the China Education Expo 2023 in Beijing.
China Education Expo is the largest international education event in Southeastern Asia. This year, the Russian booth represented a total of 27 universities and 12 Russian-Chinese associations. The booth was visited by the President of the Chinese Association of International Academic Exchanges under the Ministry of Education of China Liu Liming.
“As the only university representing Tomsk at this year’s Expo, TUSUR was tasked with promoting the Big Tomsk University and discussing potential partnerships with the leading universities and educational institutions in China”, said Maria Afanasyeva, Head of the Division of International Cooperation at TUSUR. As part of the CEE program, the delegation had more than 50 meetings with educational centers, universities and cooperation agencies and discusses future academic mobility programs for graduate and postgraduate students. The booth of TUSUR University received more than a thousand visitors.
After the completion of the CEE, the Russian delegation relocated to Nanking, where it visited the Jiangsu Institute of Organic Functional Materials and XEPIC Research and Technology company, and 13 Russian universities joined the work of the Conference on “Russia-China Innovation Cooperation in Engineering Education, University Research and Transfer of Scientific Breakthrough to Industry”.
China Education Expo is a prominent international education expo in Asia organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange. The 2023 Expo presented about 600 universities from 30 countries, including Australia, Austria, Germany, Italy, Canada, Russia, France, Switzerland, Japan, UK, US.
