TUSUR To Train «Digital» Environmental Engineers

Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics opens its first interdisciplinary Master program in Computer Simulation for Ecology and Technosphere Safety.

TUSUR Department of Radioelectronic Technologies and Environmental Monitoring has launched a new Master program within the Applied Mathematics and Informatics major. Students taking this program will study modern methods and tools of mathematical modeling, statistical data analysis, programming, information system development.

The new Master program is unique in its interdisciplinary nature. Multiple Russian universities offer programs with a major in Applied Mathematics and Informatics, but the specialization in Computer Simulation for Ecology and Technosphere Safety is a unique offer available at TUSUR only.

The new program has been developed in response to industrial demand for professionals capable on ensuring a safe working environment and limit environmental impact of an enterprise. TUSUR will equip these professionals with skills in computer-aided data analysis and computer simulation that will allow them a new perspective of occupational safety, making them a highly valuable asset for any research laboratory or manufacturing plant.

The program’s 2019 enrollment plan includes 10 state-funded places and 10 places for self-financed students. Applications can be submitted starting on March 4. Graduates of TUSUR Bachelor programs in Ecology and Environmental Management and Life Safety in Technosphere are encouraged to apply via their student accounts.
