On April 22 the Honorary Consul of Russia in Penang (Malaysia) Mr. Teoh Seng Lee visited TUSUR University.
TUSUR University and Research and Production Company Micran have won the Green Chip Award of the Fund of Infrastructure and Educational Programs at the New Electronics 2015 exhibition.
On April 23 TUSUR University and Keysight Teсhnologies opened a joint Research and Education Center TUSUR-Keysight which will employ the solutions offered by Keysight Technologies, a global US-based leader in electronic measurements. The Research and Education Center was opened in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation signed by our University and Keysight Technologies in November 2014.
One of the most active international partnerships of TUSUR University is with Ritsumeikan University, Japan. The two universities partner for their annual University Technology Dialogue and joint projects in robotics, networking and training opportunities in innovation. One of the major aspects of this partnership is the joint Dual Master Degree program that was made official in September 2013. The program is based on the 1+1 principle, which means that exchange students spend equal time in partner universities. If they successfully complete their degree programs at both universities, they are awarded two diplomas – one from the Russian, and one from the Japanese university.
On December 17, during the Quacquarelli Symonds conference “The Unleashed Potential: Emerging Europe and Central Asia” the results of the first QS University Rankings: EECA 2014/15 were announced. The rating covers the most dynamic universities of Eastern Europe and Central Asia which play an essential role in driving the social and economic growth of the region.
This December TUSUR University welcomed a new group of international students who came to Tomsk for internship. Three of the interns are bachelor students of SRM University (Chennai, India) majoring in Electronics. Shivam Prakash and Anirudh Shandilya Annavajhala will be working at the Department of Industrial Electronics. Dikshya Swain has special interest in robotics, and her internship program will be supervised by the Department of Complex Information Security of Computer Systems. Another intern, Syed Ahsan Ghaffar, arrived from NED University of Engineering And Technology (Karachi, Pakistan) where he studies Electronics, his internship will be supervised by the Department of Telecommunications and Basic Principles of Radio Engineering.
On October 25–26 Beijing hosted the China Education Expo 2014, an annual international exposition organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE).
In October TUSUR students started their 15-week Global Software Engineering course carried out jointly with Ritsumeikan University (Japan).
TUSUR University participated in the 6th Asian Joint Workshop on Information Technologies (RU-DUT WS), represented by the Head of Division of International Cooperation Gennady Kobzev who presented his paper “Analysis of the global stability and non-linear dynamics of electronic systems with pulse-width modulation”. The visit was supported by Ritsumeikan University, one of the first partners of TUSUR in Japan.
As part of his visit, Dr. Thanh delivered a lecture on “Development of radioelectronics in Vietnam”, where he told TUSUR students about the history of radioelectronics in Vietnam, the modern challenges the Vietnamese scientific and academic community faces today and the state policy of Vietnam designed to enhance international competitiveness of Vietnamese education and research.
