On the 6th of June 2012, Ritsumeikan University (Kyoto, Japan) and Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics signed the Agreement of Cooperation aiming to enhance interaction between the two institutions in the areas of education, research and cultural exchange.
On the 25–26th of May 2012 the 7th Regional review contest of innovation projects accredited by the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology for the federal Program UMNIK (Participant of Youth Science and Innovation Competition) took place in Tomsk city.
Innovations in Information and Communication Science and Technology IICST 2012 Second Postgraduate Consortium International Workshop will be held at TUSUR on 10 – 13 September 2012 within the framework of the 2012 International University Technology Dialogue devoted to 50th Anniversary of Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR).
TUSUR jointly with University of Twente (Netherlands), St Petersburg Research University of Information Technologies, Moscow National Research University “Higher School of Economics”, Munster Institute (Germany) and University of Tartu (Estonia) is applying for participation in the European program “Tempus IV”.
The Conference aim is exchange of experience and opinions about the role of engineering universities in problem solving of Russian economics modernization, prospective forms of scientific, technical and methodological support for innovative education, new developments and achievements in educational technologies, problems of humanization and humanitarization in modern higher engineering education.
On 17 November in the Student Business Incubator was held second round of the annual competition “Best Group Project” 2011–2012, which aims to select the most innovative project within the Group Project Learning.
The main role of the Center is teaching Russian language to foreign citizens. Graduate students from Taiwan and Jamaica as well as students from Mongolia, Kirghizstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Armenia have been enrolled to various TUSUR programs. To succeed the university studies student should have a good knowledge of Russian language.
During the Dialogue the representatives of Tomsk region Administration, Ritsumeikan University, TUSUR, TPU and TSU debated the ways of creating an Entrepreneurial University. The round table discussion was moderated by Head of Department of International Cooperation Dr Gennady Kobzev.
The 9th Triple Helix International Conference «Silicon Valley: Global Model or Unique Anomaly?» took place on 11 — 14 July in Silicon Valley, the world leading innovation and high-tech hub, and was organized by Stanford University Human Sciences and Technology Advanced Research Institute (H-STAR) and TUSUR.
